WordLens does not collect, store, or track any personal information from users.

The extension only processes a single word explicitly selected by the user in order to display its definition, pronunciation, and etymology. This processing happens in real time and is not saved, logged, or used for any other purpose.

WordLens uses the browser's local storage only to save user preferences, such as enabling or disabling certain features or interface options.

No selected words, browsing history, or webpage content are stored.

All stored data remains locally on the user's device and is never transmitted to external servers.

WordLens does not sell, share, or transfer user data to third parties.

When a user selects a word, the extension sends that word to a public dictionary API solely to retrieve definition and pronunciation data. No personal identifiers or browsing information are included in these requests.

WordLens requires access to webpages to detect user-selected words and display results directly on the page. It also uses network access to fetch dictionary information for the selected word.

These permissions are used only to fulfill the extension's single purpose and not for tracking, analytics, or advertising.

WordLens does not maintain user accounts, authentication systems, or databases. Because no personal data is collected or stored, there is no risk of personal data exposure through the extension.
